RCEM’s Bream’s Buildings was the host venue for the 7th February GEM strategy day. It had been some time since the RCEM GEM committee has been able to meet in person and it was a great moment to take stock of the myriad of global health activity that RCEM is supporting and developing. GECCo’s Richard Lowsby, a long-standing member of the GEM committee attended alongside two newer committee members: EMTA representative Joanna Quinn and research representative Anisa Jafar. The portfolio of work being undertaken is enormous, encompassing education, training, programme development, fellowship support, curriculum support and network support. The RCEM is also working with a number of different partners such as AFEM and THET and has links to multiple countries, including Uganda, Pakistan and NW Syria.
